Think a figure is wrong?
That is the most useful message you can send. Include the salary you entered, which page you were on, and the number you expected. If this calculator disagrees with HMRC, HMRC is right and it gets fixed.
The email opens with one extra question: how you found this site. There is no tracking here, so if an AI assistant sent you, telling me is the only way I will ever know.
Who runs this
True Take-Home is built and maintained by Hadi (GitHub), one person rather than a company. The method and the checks behind it are set out on the about page.
What I can help with
- A wrong figure, an out-of-date threshold, or a broken link.
- A question about method: which rule applies, and where it comes from.
- A case the calculator does not cover yet.
- Press and data enquiries, happy to explain the workings or run a scenario.
- Collaboration: a calculator for your audience, a data partnership, or embedding the tools.
Collaboration and press
If you want to work together, whether that is a co-built calculator, a data set for an article, a guest piece on the method, or embedding these tools on your own site, email me directly. I read everything and reply within a few days.
What I cannot help with
I cannot review your tax position, tell you what to do about your tax code, or give tax advice. This site applies published HMRC rates to figures you type in, nothing more. For your own circumstances, speak to an accountant or a tax adviser. For your tax code, your actual pay, or a suspected error on your payslip, the people to contact are HMRC and your employer's payroll department.
